The Dermatology Clinic offers a full spectrum of general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology procedures to patients of all ages. Our practice model is based on providing caring and compassionate care to help keep your skin healthy and beautiful. Our passionate and experienced physicians are board-certified dermatologists and are well trained to evaluate and treat any condition of the skin, hair and nails. Our providers are coupled with enthusiastic, compassionate, and kind staff that will keep you smiling.
Our Providers
Dr. Sivanesan is a board certified dermatologist with experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She has a well-rounded background with training in many parts of the United States. She received her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA and a master’s in public health at Emory University also in Atlanta, GA. She subsequently finished an internship at Georgetown University and completed her dermatology training at the University of Pittsburgh. She also has completed a fellowship in psoriasis at the renowned Psoriasis Treatment Center at the University of California at San Francisco.
Dr. Sivanesan is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. She strives to incorporate prevention and education into the treatment plan for all patients. Her goal is to provide patients with excellent health care while treating patients with empathy and compassion.
Janice Dworkin. M.D., is a Dermatologist with 36 years of experience in medical and surgical dermatology.
She graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelor of Science. She then received a Masters in Biostatistics from Columbia University. She received her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. She did her internship at New York University/Langone-Bellevue and completed her residency at New York Medical College.
She is the recipient of 2 Vitals NJ Patient’s Choice Awards. Dr. Dworkin utilizes her expertise in providing the highest level of care for her patients.
Dr. Patrick Safo is a Board-Certified Dermatologist that performs MOHS surgery at The Dermatology Clinic.
Dr. Safo completed his undergraduate training with a BSc degree in Chemistry and Pharmacology from Stony Brook University in New York. He obtained both an MD and PhD training from Harvard Medical School in Boston and transitioned to Johns Hopkins Bayview center for his internship training. His dermatology residency was completed at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
He has been practicing comprehensive dermatology in Central Wisconsin over the past 9 years. In addition, he is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dorea DiMaggio is a Board Certified physician assistant with experience in general dermatology for patients of all ages. She obtained her Masters’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Monmouth University. She has nearly 7 years of experience in Dermatology.
Dorea is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants, as well as a member of the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants.

My kids, my wife, and I all see Dr. Sivanesan. Because I’ve had so much interaction with her, I have comments in a few categories: She’s very personable. She explains her proposed treatments, including why and what to expect. She’s done a great job getting my kids skin to clear up. On me she diagnosed and removed a melanoma. She called me personally when the biopsy came back positive, and gave me plenty of time to ask questions. She also offered that I could call her with any additional questions. Melanoma can be nasty stuff, and I could tell that she wanted to give me all the facts, without freaking me out. (My melanoma was very shallow, with a low probability of it spreading — but that’s not what I would have taken away if I just got my info from Google.) My surgery was 8 months ago, and the scar has healed up very nicely. There was one time when I had a long wait in the office. The receptionist came out and apologized, explained that the Dr. was running late, and offered to reschedule anyone who could come back later in the day. A few folks took the offer, but I didn’t. When I went in for my exam, the assistant and the Dr. apologized for the inconvenience. That’s the *only* time that I’ve every gotten an apology from a Dr. for making me wait.. And I thought that the office handled it well: They were behind schedule and did something about it (by offering to reschedule) rather than just have everyone sit there and wait.
Dr. Sivanesan was very thorough and knowledgeable. She was able to explain the diagnosis in an understandable fashion. She spent time to answer all of my questions.
She is great. Thorough and smart. She was able to treat my condition with accuracy. Office is clean and new.

As a professional healthcare provider, I highly recommend Dr. Sivanesan. She is competent, efficient, extremely knowledgable and provides high quality care with compassion and wonderful interpersonal skills. For the first time in the past 10 years my rosacea is completely under control and being appropriately managed. With prescription facial cleanser and medication in conjunction with easily obtained and basic over the counter recommended products, my complexion and skin tone have also greatly improved. I have not hesitated to recommend her to my familiy and friends.
Thorough, cordial, knowledgeable, sets a fine example to a very well-managed staff.I had used the services of two other dermatologists previously; what a difference! She began with a COMPLETE exam, dictating her observations to an assistant who entered the info into a software. This established a baseline against which future exams were measured. The only other thing I will mention is that I am not usually given to this kind of enthusiastic review, simply because I rarely have such a positive experience.
I have been struggling with acne for years. I have tried multiple treatments and medications, but nothing has worked. My first visit with Dr. Sivanesan was fantastic. She was confident and helpful. Furthermore, she took my on-the-go lifestyle into account and gave me treatment tips that fit me. So far the treatments have gone well. Hope to see more success in the future!
